Anniversary Card #4 for March

Hello friends.  Well, I am almost done with March Anniversary cards.  This is #4 and I have one more to go.

I used a new set from Gina K. Designs, Ruffled Blooms stamp, die, stencil, and embossing folder to make these pretty flowers.  After stamping them, I used SU Terracotta Tile (center petals) and Grapefruit Grove (large petals) to blend the inks on.  There are two more flower petal stencils that I didn't use as I like them this way.  I used SU Soft Succulent for the leaves (sorry, all inks are ret.).  I die cut them and then embossed with the matching embossing folder.  I embossed a white panel with the new Spellbinders  February 2D EF called Spring Stripes.  It kind of looks like rows of wonky hearts and I thought it would make a pretty background for the blooms.  The flowers have a lot of texture so I just glued them to the panel and then glued the sentiment over them.

I will add this to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time for the flower set and embossing folders.

and to Addicted to Stamps and More - Diecuts and/or Stencils (I used both)

I will also add it to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (middle row down - die cutting, ink blending, friendship) as it is for friends' anniversary - I hope that qualifies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,
JoAnn

Seize the Birthday - CAS + Dies

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Glenda would like us to make it CAS (clean and simple) plus dies.  If you're not a "Toppings" kind of person, well...you can just go with our usual "Anything Goes" Birthday!  The choice is yours!

For my card I began with a panel of SU Basic Beige and embossed it with Honey Bee Burlap EF. I had these flowers cut from white with Altenew Cute Open Rose die so I thought I would use them.  I blended some SU Crisp Cantaloupe ink (ret.) to the centers  and shaped the petals before gluing them together.  The centers are cut from Spellbinders Merlot and Sicily cardstock.  I blended Rustic Wilderness DOI on scraps of white to die cut the leaves and glued them under the flower petals.  The sentiment is cut from white using an older Sizzix die and glued on.  I really love the finished card and will be sending it to my granddaughter as her birthday is next month.

Be sure to check out all the cards by the DT and our party guests over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

I will also link to the Trible B Challenge - Birds, Blooms, Butterflies.

and also to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used the Honey Bee EF.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Card #3

Hello friends.  I am still working on Anniversary cards for March and this is the third one. I have two more to go.😀

I used my new Altenew Delicate Magnolia dies to create the pretty flowers.  I cut them from white and lightly blended Fossilized Amber DOI in the centers of the petals and shaped them with my stylus before gluing together.  The centers are cut from Kraft card and after adding them, I also added a small gold bead.  I blended SU Soft Succulent ink on a scrap of white to die cut the leaves from another die set.  I used Newton's Nook Gingham stencil to lightly blend Soft Succulent ink in the center of a panel embossed with a very old SU Sizzix EF.  I used the debossed side.  The inking doesn't show up well in the photo but does in person.  I glued the panel to the white card base, added the flowers and the sentiment which is cut with Creative Expressions Mini Shadowed Sentiments - Happy Anniversary.  I didn't use the shadow die though.  I die cut the sentiment from SU Soft Succulent card (ret.) and glued it on.  I really like the finished card and I think the recipients will also.

I will link to Darnell's NBUS as this is the first time I have used the Magnolia dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday

Hello friends.  I have a new birthday card to share today and I see Krafty Chicks is looking for birthday cards so I will share my card there.

I stamped the flowers from SU Christmas Greenery and colored them with SU Flirty Flamingo and Soft Succulent (ret.) Blends.  I then cut them with a Spellbinders Emerald Cut Labels and Tag die.  I embossed a panel of Lost Lagoon with SU Peaceful Greenery 3D EF and them mounted the flower panel with foam tape.  This panel was glued to a white card base.  The sentiment is from a retired SU set (I love the font in this sentiment) and mounted with foam tape.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Card #2

Hello friends.  This is the 2nd anniversary card for March.  It is for good friends and she likes purple so that is the colors I used.
I cut a panel of SU Highland Heather and embossed it with Spellbinders Cross My Heart EF, then mounted it to a white card base.  The flowers and foliage are made with Spellbinders Club Blooms and cut from SU Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green.  The white arch is cut with a stitched die from Amazon.  I stamped the sentiment in Gorgeous Grape ink and mounted it with foam tape.  I then arranged the flowers and foliage along the bottom of the arch and the card was done.  I really like the finished card and I think my friend will also.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

A New Anniversary Card

Hello friends.  I am working on anniversary cards for March, I have 5 to make and this is the first one.

I was inspired by this card by Kelly (thanks for the inspiration Kelly) and made a similar card.  I embossed a panel of SU Balmy Blue with Altenew Textured Tiles 3D EF and then blended Blueberry Bushel ink around the edges.  I only used two of the smaller blooms on my card.  I die cut them from SU Bubble Bath and then blended Flirty Flamingo ink in the centers before glueing them together.  The centers are cut from a brown and white scrap.  The leaves are cut from SU Granny Apple Green.  I liked the way Kelly had the vellum across the center with the sentiment on it.  I die cut the sentiment from gold foil with an older die that has no name on it.  I glued the sentiment to the vellum and tried to fold the vellum around the blue layer, but it cracked on the fold, so I trimmed it added dots of glue on the edges and also under the sentiment.  I really love this color combo and the finished card.

I will add this one to Festive Friday - I used pink, ink blending and die cuts.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday for Festive Friday

Hello friends.  I saw Festive Friday's Inspo List and wanted to play along.

I didn't make a Valentine card but did make a Birthday card using pink, gray, heart gems, die cuts, and hearts.
I embossed a panel of lt. gray using Spellbinders Cross My Heart EF and mounted to a white card base.  The flowers were made with the smallest flower die in Papertrey Ink's Into the Blooms: Dahlia die set.  I cut 6 flowers, blended SU Flirty Flamingo ink in the centers, shaped them with my stylus and glued two layers together.  The flower centers were cut from yellow using another flower die.  The stem and leaves were cut with a die from a friend (no name).  I clipped some leaves and cut extra leaves to place around the flowers.  After gluing the stem, leaves and flowers on, I added some Altenew white heart gems.  The sentiment is from SU Go To Greetings.  I fussy cut around it and added small strips of foam tape to mount it to the card.

I will also add this to the Triple B Challenge for February.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Happy Stamping,

Color Hues - Pink and Red

Hello friends.  I am honored to be the Guest Designer at Color Hues Challenge today and the colors are Red & Pink.

I was going through my stamps and found this older stamp from Art Impressions, Cupcake BFFs and thought it would be perfect to color in Red & Pink.
After stamping the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored her with Copics and used SU Crumb Cake Blends for her hair and cupcake wrapper.  I die cut her with my new Penny Black Curvature dies and also cut a Real Red frame.  It cuts the center out as well a the frame.  I glued the red frame over the white frame for a little dimension, and then to the Pretty in Pink panel embossed with Taylored Expressions Weathered EF.  I then mounted this panel to the white card base.  The stamped image panel was then glued in the opening of the frame.  The sentiment from the same stamp set, is stamped on a white scrap and glued to the edge of the frame.

Now it is time to check out what the DT did with these colors.  Hope you will be inspired to join us in this fun challenge.

I am also linking to Darnell's NBUS (Never Before Used Schtuff) as this is the first time I used these dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Anniversary Blessings

Hello friends.  I have another anniversary card to share today.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches to make my card, but made a regular A2 size instead of a square.

ETA:  My card was one of those chosen as a Princess at Freshly Made Sketches.

I cut a strip of SU Misty Moonlight and embossed it with Altenew Textured Tiles EF and glued it on the left side of the card.  The flowers and stem/leaves were made with Spellbinders Stylish Oval Hello You Floral.  I cut the flowers from SU Cloud Cover and blended Blueberry Bushel ink over the layers and shaped them with my stylus before gluing together.  I added the smaller flower to make it a fuller bloom, and then added the fancy rhinestone to the centers.  The stem & leaves were cut from Granny Apple Green and I blended a darker ink to the bottom edges of the leaves.  I cut the stem and leaves apart and placed them where I wanted to give it a circular feel..  The sentiment is from a Sweet 'n Sassy stamp set and is mounted with foam tape.  This card will be going to a couple at church.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Wedding Card

Hello friends.  Today I am sharing the wedding card I made for my grandson and girlfriend who are getting married this weekend.  Navy is their main color so I found this shiny navy card at Michaels and thought it was perfect to use.

I die cut the panel with Pinkfresh Sparkling Diamonds Coverplate and glued it to the white card base.  the flowers and stems were cut from white with MFT dies.  I shaped the layers with my stylus, glued them together and added a fancy rhinestone (Hobby Lobby) to the center of each flower.  I glued the leaves under the edges of the petals.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments stamp & die set.  I stamped it in SU Misty Moonlight and mounted with foam tape after die cutting it.

This photo shows the shine on the navy panel.

I will share this at the Inkspirtional Challenge #359 - Shades of Blue.

and also at Color Hues - Blue and White.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day and stay safe and warm.

Happy Anniversary

Hello friends.  I have an anniversary card to share today.  I saw Just Us Girls #807 is Stencil Week so I am using Pinkfresh Studio Magnolia Stamps, Dies, & Stencils to make my card.

After stamping the pretty magnolias, I used the stencils to blend Pretty in Pink and Polished Pink on the flowers and Rustic Wilderness DOI on the leaves.  I die cut them and laid them aside to do the green panel which is from an old DCWV pack.  It had the border already cut so I just cut it to 4" and then trimmed the edges down to 5-1/4 " to fit the card front with a border.  The sentiment is from an older Verve set and stamped on a shape I had left over from another project and I don't remember which die I used.  I mounted the panel to the card base with foam tape and then glued the bud, flower, and leaves on the bottom left edge, putting foam tape under the parts hanging over the edge.

Cardz 4 Gals is looking for Pink Flowers so I will link there also.
Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Rainbow of Colors

Hello friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and Cathy wants us to use a Rainbow of Colors. Of course you can always just make a regular birthday card if you are not into our "Topping" option.

Here is the card I came up with.
I cut a white panel and then blended these inks in rainbow fashion: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Call Me Clover, Pacific Point, Highland Heather and another row of Real Red.  I cut the panel down to to fit behind the Sizzix Tartan Plaid die cut, and then glued it to the white card base.  I used Birch Press Splendid Cosmos Contour Layers die for the flower cut from Pale Papaya and sponged Pumpkin Pie ink in the centers before gluing the layers together.  The center is cut from Crumb Cake and Early Espresso. The leaves are cut from Pear Pizzazz with a little Call Me Clover ink sponged on one side.  I glued the flower on and then glued the leaves under the petals.  I didn't think about it, but the flower covers the Highland Heather row.  The sentiment is from Waffle Flower Essential Sentiments and cut with the matching die, and  I added 2 plain layers under the stamped layer for some dimension.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous cards by the Team and our Party Guest over at Seizer the Birthday.  I hope to see you in our gallery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.
